Chautauqua Days in Rome City
Relive the late 1800's by attending the Chautauqua Days festival, Saturday, Aug. 14 and Sunday, Aug. 15 at Gene Stratton-Porter Historic Site, Rome City, IN.
Festival hours are noon to 4 p.m. both day. Admission is $3 per person.
Chautauquas originally stated as a means of adult education and enlightenment. Today, it is a celebration of Gene Stratton-Porter's life long love of learning and her birthday. Festival activities include cabin tours, live music, cuisine seasoned by garden herbs, children's activities, and a special birthday cake for Gene.
