Parkview Noble hosting 5K fun run and walk Sept. 11
Parkview Noble Hospital will be hosting a Friends and Family 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Parkview Noble campus. The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and begins at 7:30 a.m. The race is a new event for Parkview Noble and is being held in conjunction with the hospital’s annual community health fair and picnic, scheduled for the same day, beginning at 9 a.m.
The ran course takes runners around the hospital campus, and will include running on the street, the paved hospital Health Walk, as well as the grounds behind the hospital.
Pre-registration, received by September 1 is $15, after Sept. 1, registration is $20. Individuals registering by Sept. 1 are guaranteed a race t-shirt. Race day registration and check in will begin at 6:30 a.m.
Medals will be awarded to men and women in seven age categories.
Post-race activities will include Parkview Noble Hospital’s annual community health fair and picnic with reduced-cost blood tests from 9 to 11 a.m.; health fair from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; children’s activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Samaritan helicopter is expected to make a stop at the event around noon.
