VOLUNTEERS AVAILABLE TO HELP FILE EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT
Every year, tax dollars go unclaimed. Money that could be helping families make ends meet in these tough economical times. In Indiana alone, $105.5 million in Earned Income Tax Credit is unclaimed! How do families find out if they qualify for this money?
United Way of Noble County is offering free assistance through Community Table to people who would like to see if they qualify for Earned Income Tax Credit. Trained volunteers will be available to sit down with candidates and go through the paperwork. If they qualify, volunteers will fill out the forms and file them for free.
Volunteers will be seeing people at the Community Table meals, held on Mondays and Thursdays at Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville, and on Fridays at the Crosswalk in Ligonier. You must make an appointment to sit down with a volunteer. To do this, call Kathy Maxson at the United Way office at 260-636-8929.
