US 33 most dangerous highway in Indiana

U.S 33 is one of the most dangerous highways in Indiana, but police are at work trying to remedy that problem.
In 2010, about ten percent of Indiana's collisions happened along the U.S 33 Corridor.
The RACCE 33 initiative is a high-visibility enforcement project that involves Indiana's neighboring states along with more than ten police agencies from four Indiana counties, including Ligonier.
Police will have extra patrols targeting impaired and unrestrained motorists in the five Indiana counties through which the U.S. 33 corridor runs from November 23-27. Indiana State Police have similar patrols in effect on other highways as well.

Noble Vision wants your ideas to make our county great

Noble Vision Committee Seeking Community Input
It is hard to know if you've arrived, if you don't know where you are going. Noble County , like the rest of Northeast Indiana, has faced a decline in their personal per capita income for the last several decades. Residents in Northeast Indiana earn 22% less than the national average, and only through collective, transformative efforts, will we be able to stem this decline and start to grow our county economy. As the regional vision initiative moves forward, Noble County needs to make sure that it can speak with one clear voice about its needs and its role in the regional landscape.
You are invited to attend one of the Noble Vision Listening Sessions to help craft a vision for Noble County that maximizes the assets of our county and better positions the county for the future.
"We are really excited to see Noble County take their visioning process to the next step," said Mike Packnett, President and CEO of Parkview Health. "They are leading the region in their efforts to align with Vision 2020, and it is their commitment and passion for charting a new course for Noble County and Northeast Indiana that will bring about our economic growth."
The Noble Vision Steering Committee would like representatives from all across Noble County to participate in this process, they would not only like to encourage you to attend, but bring a friend or two along with you to one of the sessions listed below.

$1500 grant from REMC goes to Child Seats

The Noble County Sheriff's Department Permanent Fitting Station has received a $1500 grant from the Noble REMC. The Noble County Sheriff's Department Permanent Fitting Station will allocate car seats free of charge only to low income families who can't afford a child safety seat, or provide replacement seats to parents/caregivers if seats are deemed unsafe.
