He was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1971.

Jack H. Mortimore, 85, of Kendallville died Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 11:17 p.m. in Kendallville Manor HealthCare Center, Kendallville where he had resided for four days. He had been ailing since the death of his wife last July.
There will be no calling or services. A memorial service will be announced at a later date for both he and his wife. Military honor services will be provided by Kendallville VFW Post 2749 and Rome City American Legion Post 381.
